چکیده

Abstract For the realization of small-scale biomass-to-liquid (BTL) processes, low-cost syngas cleaning remains a major obstacle, and for this reason simplified gas ultracleaning process is being developed. In study, low- to medium-temperature final based on adsorption organic solvent-free scrubbing methods was coupled pilot-scale staged fixed-bed gasification facility including hot filtration catalytic reforming steps extended duration tests generation ultraclean syngas. The purified from woody agricultural biomass origin degree suitable synthesis. contained up 3000 ppm ammonia, 1300 benzene, 200 hydrogen sulfide, 10 carbonyl 5 cyanide. Post-run characterization displayed that accumulation impurities Cu-based deoxygenation catalyst (TOS 105 h) did not occur, demonstrating effective main impurity removal achieved in first two steps: acidic water (AWC) by activated carbons (AR). test campaign, comprehensive multipoint analysis confirmed ammonia fully removed step, benzene H 2 S were subsequent carbon beds. > 90% 100 COS HCN These results provide insights into affinity complex matrix, which would be arduous replicate laboratory conditions.

Steam Reforming and Gasification of Pyrolysis Oil Reactor and Process Development for Syngas Production from Biomass

Gasification of pyrolysis oil was studied in a fluidized bed over a wide temperature range (523-914 °C) with and without the use of nickel-based catalysts. Noncatalytically, a typical fuel gas was produced. Both a special designed fluid bed catalyst and a crushed commercial fixed bed catalyst showed an initial activity for syngas (H2 and CO) production at T >700 °C. However, these catalysts los...

Gasification, Producer Gas and Syngas - FSA1051

Gasification involves turning organic fuels (such as biomass resources) into gaseous compounds (producer gas or syngas) by supplying less oxygen than is needed for com plete combustion of the fuel. Gasifica tion occurs at temperatures between 1112o and 2732o F and produces a lowto medium-energy gas depending upon the process type and operating conditions. Gasification of biomass resources is ...

Research on the Gas Reburning in a Circulating Fluidized Bed (CFB) System Integrated with Biomass Gasification

N2O emissions from coal fired fluidized-bed combustion are approximately 30–360 mg/Nm, much higher than that from pulverized coal combustion (less than 30 mg/Nm). One approach to reduce the N2O is to reburn the biomass gasification gas in the coal-fired fluidized bed. In this paper, the effects of gasified biomass reburning on the integrated boiler system were investigated by both simulation an...

Modeling Wood Gasification in a Countercurrent Fixed-Bed Reactor

A one-dimensional, unsteady mathematical model is presented of fixed-bed countercurrent wood gasifiers, which couples heat and mass transport with wood drying and devolatilization, char gasification, and combustion of both char and gas-phase species. The model is used to simulate the structure of the reaction fronts and the gasification behavior of a laboratory-scale plant as the reactor throug...
